Waterford Beautification

The Waterford Beautification Committee began in 2003 in conjunction with the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce to enhance Waterford with various beautification projects all without taxpayer money.

Gateway Sign
The 1st Waterford Sign at the entrance way of Waterford on eastbound Highland Road at Williams Lake Road was erected in April 2011. Lighting was installed in October 2011 by the generosity of Hutchinson's Electric.

Keep Michigan Beautiful
On October 19, 2012, Keep Michigan Beautiful, Inc. awarded the Waterford Beautification Committee for the Gateway Sign (PDF) at Highland Road and Williams Lake Road.

Waterford Township is a member of Beautification Council of Southeastern Michigan and Keep Michigan Beautiful, Inc.
Landscaping
As of August, 2012, beautiful landscaping now surrounds the gateway sign. Many thanks to Breen's Landscape for their time and labor and Waterford Department of Public Works (DPW) for their efforts in watering it. Another project made possible through fundraising and partnerships with the Beautification Committee and local businesses and residents.
