Reminder: Reading records must be turned in by Saturday, August 3, to qualify for the prize drawing. We will hand out other prizes until Labor Day as they last.
The countdown has begun to the Summer Reading Book Club. The reading program is open to all students ages 3-12. Set and meet your own reading goals. Prizes include books, gift cards, book bags, t-shirts, games, craft kits, passes to fun places around town, and other cool stuff. Here is all you have to:
Blast Off!: Saturday, June 1
Travel through time and space by reading through the cosmos.
OR: Pick up a reading record and stickers from the Children's Department.
Wandoo Readers will track their way through the solar system.
Place a sticker on the paper chart for every 15-20 minutes of reading, or one for each picture book, or a sticker for a number of pages or chapters read. (You decide on the goal.)
Return to Earth: Reach Your Reading Goal by Saturday, August 3
Have the librarians check your completed reading record.
Pick out a book to keep.
Collect your passes and coupons for free items at local businesses.
Enter your name into the summer reading drawing.
Note: Those using the Wandoo Reader need to stop by the Children's Department to collect their prizes.
If you don't finish by August 3, you can still keep on reading in order to receive your free book, passes, and coupons. We will continue to distribute prizes, while supplies last, through Labor Day Weekend.
The Children's Department would like to thank all our sponsors for donating prizes to the Summer Reading Program:
