May 27, 2017 - Hon. Nanci Grant has granted preliminary approval of the Class Action Lawsuit settlement agreement recently approved by the Waterford Township Board. The agreement is now posted to the Township website and can be found at this link.
June 22, 2017 - On or about June 23, 2017 notices will be mailed to water and sewer customers who are eligible to submit claims with details and instructions for claims submission including a claim form. Claims will be handled by a third-party claims administrator. Please do not contact the Court, Waterford Township, the Department of Public Works, plaintiff, or attorneys regarding claims or the claims process.
August 14, 2017 - Deadline to submit proof of claim.
September 20, 2017 - Court approval of settlement distribution. Settlement distribution is expected to occur within 2-3 weeks from this date. Waterford Township employees do not have information with regard to the amount each customer who submitted a claim will receive, nor do they have specific dates settlement checks will be mailed.
