Happy Halloween from all of us here at Waterford Township. We wish you a safe and healthy Halloween!
Suggested trick-or-treat hours for Halloween on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in Waterford are 6-7pm. Some neighborhoods choose to extend that time by leaving porch lights on as indication they are distributing treats.
Here are few tips to help our community stay safe this Halloween:
Motorists - please exercise extra caution this evening. Obey posted speed limits, avoid distractions while driving, and watch for pedestrian traffic. Allow extra travel time as rush-hour traffic is usually heavier on Halloween.
Trick-or-Treaters - please look both ways before entering a roadway, utilize reflective items on dark clothing and carry a flashlight, go out in groups and/or with an adult chaperone.
The Waterford Police Dept. will scan candy between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the Waterford Police Station, 5150 Civic Center Drive, Waterford, Michigan 48329.
