Kick-Off Volunteer Meeting March 25th at 9am
The Waterford Township Neighborhood Preservation Corps is gearing up for the 2019 season. The NPC is a dedicated group of volunteers helping to identify Municipal Code violations in Waterford Township. The volunteers were able to work with the Code Enforcement staff at Waterford Township to identify and report simple “nuisance” violations in an effort to help maintain Waterford’s neighborhoods and business areas to keep Waterford a great place to live, work and play. The success of the program is evidenced by the fact that the vast majority of these violations are corrected after just a simple warning letter.
As a Neighborhood Preservation Corps volunteer, you must be a Waterford resident and agree to work a minimum of 2 hours per week without compensation. Volunteers use their own vehicles, fuel, digital cameras and must have Internet access. Volunteers act as the eyes and ears of the Code Enforcement officers to pro-actively identify, and report code violations for correction.
