The Library Advisory Committee members are appointed by the Township Board of Trustees. Each serves a term of 3 years, limited to 2 consecutive terms. Committee members are not paid to serve. A member of the Township Board of Trustees serves as liaison to the Library Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Library's Conference Room, January through June and August through October.

The Advisory Committee does this through review with the Library Director of current library operations and proposed service development as well as through advocacy support with state and federal legislators. The Advisory Committee may also make policy recommendations to the township Committee of trustees.
