In preparation for the upcoming culvert replacement planned by Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), DPW is having a section of water main along S Cass Lake Rd relocated. Relocating the water main will ensure that RCOC can complete their project of replacing the culvert that carries S Cass Lake Rd over the Cass Lake/Otter Lake Canal.
During the water main relocation, S Cass Lake Rd will be closed beginning April 4, 2022, between Port Cove Dr and Bangor Rd. This closure will last for two to four weeks, and traffic will detour from Cass Elizabeth Rd to Orchard Lake Rd utilizing Cooley Lake Rd, Hiller Rd, and Commerce Rd.
