GFL Call Center Update
March 30, 2020

As Waterford begins its new program with GFL Environmental, GFL’s customer service call center is committed to serving the community. With approximately 26,000 customers in Waterford alone, call volumes on day-one of the contract have proven to be extraordinarily high. Please be patient as hold times reflect that increase in call volume. You may want to try calling later in the week. In an effort to accommodate the transition, GFL has agreed to waive first quarter late fees.

You may pay your GFL online at: www.gflusa.com

GFL will begin collecting trash, recycling and bulk items the week of March 30, 2020. Yard waste collection begins the week of April 6, 2020. If you haven’t received your invoice yet, GFL will still be collecting from Waterford residents.

Self-service options are available 24/7 on the Waterford Township website at: www.waterfordmi.gov/trash where you may opt out of recycling, utilize the “snowbird” service suspension, or even apply for your senior discount. You will also find answers to many frequently asked questions on the website.

If you made any requests or changes to your GFL account after March 23rd, your printed invoice will not reflect those changes. However, GFL has assured Waterford Township that those new requests have been applied to customer accounts and customers may pay the corrected amount for their first quarter invoice. Rates are on page 3 of the GFL newsletter mailed to every home in February, or can also be found on the website at https://www.waterfordmi.gov/DocumentCenter/View/7691/GFL-Transition-Newsletter-PDF

Thank you for your patience.
