1. What day does GFL collect at my residence?

To locate your service day, please visit our interactive GFL Residential Collection Map and enter your home address in the search bar on the top left of the map. Or call Waterford's dedicated GFL customer line at 248-204-6762.

2. How do I get a large item picked up?

The Waterford Township contract with GFL Environmental, USA for residential curbside waste removal includes one bulk item per month. 

You do not need to call ahead to schedule collection of your bulk item, simply place it at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your regular weekly collection day and GFL will remove the item.

Washers
Dryers
Freezers - please remove doors and racks
Refrigerators - please remove doors and racks
Stoves
Microwaves
Air Conditioners
Hot Water Tanks
Sofas and Loveseats
Chairs
Tables
Dressers
Desks

Please remove the doors and racks from refrigerators and freezers prior to setting out for collection. It is GFL’s responsibility to make sure Freon is extracted according to current environmental standards. Some larger bulk items, like freezers and large appliances, may be picked up by a separate truck and may take up to 24-hours to remove.

3. I think my pickup was missed today. What do I do?

If your service day is today and you think your trash, recycling, bulk item, or yard waste pickup has been missed, please know that GFL trucks are on the road from 7 am to 7 pm and sometimes collection times change from week to week.
If it's after 7 pm and your items are not collected, please visit www.gflenv.com and enter a service request by submitting your address and service issue. 

4. Which holidays does GFL observe?

GFL observes the following holidays:

NEW YEARS  DAY January 1st

MEMORIAL DAY Last Monday in May

INDEPENDENCE DAY July 4th

LABOR DAY First Monday of September

THANKSGIVING DAY Fourth Thursday of November

CHRISTMAS DAY December 25th

Please remember that if a holiday falls on a weekday, your scheduled service day will be delayed by one day and does include Saturday collection in these cases. Regular collection will resume the following week

6. How do I sign up for a senior or veteran discount?

To receive a 5% senior or veteran discount, please contact GFL at 248-204-6762 or stop by Town Hall in the Supervisor's office to complete a form and present ID verifying either your age (65 and older for the senior discount) or veteran designation.

7. I've just moved into my home, how do I start service?
