How do I get a copy of a police report?

Public records may be obtained on-line or in person from the Police Records Bureau. All records requests require a Police FOIA Request form completed and sent to the Waterford Police Records Bureau at PDFOIARequest@waterfordmi.gov

The phone number to the Records Bureau is 248-674-0351, Prompt 4. Business hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Records Bureau is closed on national holidays. The fee for an Incident Report is $0.50 per page. The fee for a Crash report is $11.00. Crash reports can also be obtained online at https://payments.clemis.org
Cash, Check or Money Order is accepted for payment at the Police Department. No credit or debit cards. Colored photos are $3.00 each.

The Records Bureau will not release a copy of a police report that is assigned to a Detective if the case is still under investigation.
