Waterford Township’s contract for residential curbside collection with GFL Environmental, USA includes weekly collection of unlimited yard waste in season.
Dates/Season
Yard waste will be collected in a separate truck beginning the first Monday on or after April 1 through the second full week in December.
2021: April 5 through December 17, 2021
2022: April 4 through December 16, 2022
2023: April 3 through December 15, 2023
2024: April 1 through December 13, 2024
Time
Yard waste should be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on your regular weekly collection day.
Containers
Please place yard waste in brown paper yard waste bags or in metal or plastic waste containers no larger than 32 gallons that weigh no more than 50 lbs. If using a metal or plastic container, please clearly mark the container as YARD WASTE or COMPOST. Compost stickers are available at Waterford Township Hall.
Quantity
There is no limit to the number of bags or containers that you can place at the curb for collection in season.
Cost
Yard waste collection is included in the quarterly rates negotiated in the Township contract.
