Supervisor's Office

Messages from the Township Supervisor - March/April 2020

Thanking the Frontliners
As the number of cases of COVID-19 continue to increase here on our homefront, I would like to say "thank you" on behalf of all our community to our first responders, all of the physicians, nurses, health care workers, and all other essential workers serving our public needs. I know for a fact that many of these individuals are teaming up and working long hours away from  home and their families to ensure that our safety, health and welfare is as best protected as can be.

Students - Keep It Up!
I encourage our students to continue to access and utilize virtual learning programs that are available online through the Waterford School District and other resources. Although the Michigan Department of Education at this time has elected not to count virtual learning hours as instructional time, I still encourage each and every one of our students to utilize this down time to continue with these learning programs. All throughout the Waterford community we have our teachers, parents, grandparents and fellow students stepping up to help continue with the learning process. These are programs that in the short run will be a true benefit to all of us. Keep it going!

Census 2020
Once again I would like to remind and encourage every single household here in Waterford to complete the 2020 Census form.
The overall benefit from getting counted is critical for future funding that comes to Waterford especially in a time of need like we are currently facing with COVID-19.

So remember our Township slogan for Census 2020:
I Count
You Count
We Count
Everyone Counts
Get Counted
It Counts!
