Each year dedicated volunteers gather together on a Saturday in April in honor of Earth Day for Waterford Township's Annual Earth Day Township Cleanup event.
Since the event’s inception in 2016, more than 150 volunteers have removed approximately 170 cubic yards of litter making the community look better and helping to protect our abundant waterways from becoming the final resting place for this harmful debris.
Thank you to the more than 130 volunteers from the community who participated in this event for the past three (3) years. Together, our volunteers have removed close to 150 cubic yards or litter from Waterford roadsides and parks at our annual Earth Day event.
Thank you to our important partners who also make it possible to keep costs to a bare minimum.
Advanced Disposal - dumpsters
Sam's Club Novi - water, trash bags & gloves
Waterford School District - dumpster locations
In addition to our dedicated volunteers who return each year, we'd love to welcome new volunteers to continue to grow the event and increase the impact we're having.
