Fun & Free Programs

Call us at (248) 618-7692 to have books put aside for you.  Check out our Craft Corner for activity ideas, and check Facebook for a schedule of outdoor storytimes, weather permitting, and other special events. 

Professionally trained children's librarians provide free programming throughout the year for kids of all ages. Below is a list of some of these programs:

  • Literature-based programs including story times, winter reading club, and craft programs
  • Weekly drop-in story times for ages 0-3 years during the school year
  • Lego Club once a month during the school year (currently on hiatus)
  • Summer Reading Programs including reading club, literature-based activities, and special performances
  • Annual Library Events celebrating libraries and children's literature
  • Special Performances featuring storytellers, authors, puppeteers, and musicians (currently on hiatus)
  • 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten participating library (click here for more information)
  • Monthly Saturday Storytimes for ages 4-7 (currently on hiatus)
  • Tours for groups and classes introducing kids and adults to the library
