Storytimes for Young Children

Under Story Tree

Fall Family Outdoor Storytime

Presenting our 4-week Fall Family Storytime on Mondays from 10:30-11:00 am for young children. This will be held outdoors, weather permitting, on the grassy area between the library and Waterford Memorial fence and sidewalk under the big tree. Bring an outdoor blanket or chairs to sit on, and dress for the weather. Storytimes are about 30 minutes long. Children must be accompanied by a parent or a caregiver.  Thursdays are set aside as a “rain date”.

The dates are September 12, September 19, September 26, and October 3.

If you are also doing 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, stories read during the storytimes count towards your total!

Weekly Storytimes for Ages Infant-3 Years

With the change in the weather, our drop-in storytimes resume the week of October 17-19, and end the week of November 14-16. These storytimes are 30 minutes long and include a variety of stories, songs, fingerplays, and other activities.  They are held in our children’s story and craft room.  Children must be accompanied by a parent or a caregiver.  We ask that parents and caregivers arrive a few minutes before storytime begins in order to get settled in.  Thank you!
